Region code hack posted by ds3, August 21 2015: After a few seconds the DVD player will automatically turn off 5. Press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 on the OneForAll remote control. After a few seconds the DVD player will automatically turn on 3. Make sure the DVD player has no disc in it and is powered off 2. Press Esc until you get back to the Main Menu Programming the 7040 - 1.Select DVD device on remote 2.Hold Magic button until DVD button flashes twice 3.Press 0, 5, 3 and 3 4.Put a disc in player and put player onto welcome screen 5.Hold Magic button down until DVD button on remote flashes twice 6.Press 9, 9 and 4 7.Press Magic button 8.Press 1, 8, 9 and 1 9.Repeat steps 2 to 4, then press 2, 5, 5 and 2 10.Repeat steps 2 to 4, then press 0, 9, 5 and 3 11.Repeat steps 2 to 4, then press 2, 2, 1 and 4 12.Repeat steps 2 to 4, then press 0, 7, 9 and 5 Once your remote control is programmed - 1. Any OneForAll remote should work providing you follow the principles detailed below. Here are the instructions for the OneForAll URC-7781 and the OneForAll 7040 remotes (I have the URC-7781 and it works ok with that, but I have not tested the 7040 remote).
